Denpasoft published Maitetsu, a story where a man returns to his hometown and meets an android, on JAST USA.

Maitetsu is a visual novel developed by Lose that won second place and the gold prize for its scenario in the 2016 Moe Game Awards. You play as Migita Sotetsu, a young man that returned to his hometown of Ohitoyo after hearing that an industrial factory would be built along a landmark river. Even though half of the townspeople agreed with the factory proposal, the rest are worried that it will eventually lead to pollution and contamination of the river. Ohitoyo has been on a budgetary decline in the last few decades and, if the factory is built, it will become economically dependent on factory.

Sotetsu believes there's a way for the town to become independent and improve their economy. He mulled over this thought while rummaging through his deceased adoptive father’s belongings. After some time, he found a sleeping android — a “Railroad” named Hachiroku. Back in the day, operators worked with Railroads to run the train stations. This was a popular mode of transport in Ohitoyo until aerocrafts rose to popularity. As luck would have it, Sotetsu accidentally wakes up Hachiroku, the two of them become bonded and they both agree to find a way to make Ohitoyo prosperous once more.
