Goblin Adventurer Hunting, a fantasy puzzle game by Ketchup AjiNo Mayonnaise, is now available for purchase on Steam.

Goblin Adventurer Hunting is a puzzle game in which players take the role of a debt-ridden goblin. The protagonist decides that, in order to pay off what he owes, he’ll establish a brothel—but to do so, he first needs to capture heroines. Being a rather meek goblin, he will have to get crafty in his pursuit of women.

The game is a gauntlet of logic challenges and resource management. Each level of the game is made up of multiple stages, with each stage divided into three randomly-generated tracks. Each track contains a variety of interactive elements: these could be friendly NPC traders, dangerous adventurers, traps or doors which need to be opened, useful items to collect, or crafting stations.

On the tracks, players can collect items or exchange them for others through interactions. Some actions require high enough stats to perform. While the goblin always starts at level 0, he can improve his level by collecting energy. Certain items, such as potions and magic stones, can also be used to either improve the goblin’s stats temporarily or help him recover sustained damage.

The biggest danger during the levels are adventurers. Interacting with them shows their stat block, with options to attack them or use items on them. If defeated, they can be robbed, harvested for energy, or captured for the brothel if the goblin owns the right type of consumable. The goblin will also abuse defeated adventurers, with multiple animated CGs available for each of the game's various heroine designs.

While the adventurers won’t attack the goblin on their own, the only way to move past them is to defeat them. Other elements, such as locked doors or large stones, may also block the goblin’s path. Carefully deciding on when to use certain items is crucial if the goblin is to make it to the end of the level: if you end up getting stuck, you’ll be forced to surrender.

Players have to carefully plan on which tracks to enter, as usually only one can be accessed per level. To win the stage, they will have to beat all of its levels, completing tracks until the final boss encounters. There are three difficulty levels in Goblin Adventurer Hunting, which adjust the size of the goblin’s debt and whether it has a ticking interest rate.

Goblin Adventurer Hunting is now available on Steam for $14.99. In the past, the game also released on DLsite, where it can still be purchased for $13.41 (estimated from ¥1,980). A demo is also available on the DLsite store page.
