Save The World, a sci-fi adventure about a woman who vents to an alien and dooms the world, is now available on Steam and Itch.io.

We've previously covered Save the World when Winter Wolves held a Kickstarter campaign for the game back in February of this year. The story takes place in London, where a young woman named Ekiya tries to make ends meet with her roommate, Sarah. She has been having a hard time as of late, between going through a bad breakup, struggling with a job change, and — to top it all off — she gets abducted by aliens. When the alien leader approaches Ekiya, they introduce themselves as Xen and explain that it is their mission to save the worlds that they encounter. They ask her about the problems the Earth is currently facing, as well as other seemingly innocent questions. In response, Ekiya talks about her experiences and an uneven distribution of wealth; Ekiya would soon learn that what she told the aliens would affect the fate of the entire world.

The day after Ekiya was abducted, the aliens invaded the Earth and Xen made a cruel declaration: every day, the wealthiest people on the planet will be killed. As time progresses, the number of people killed per day will increase. The humans tried to fight back against their decree, but the aliens’ advanced technology rendered any attempt at defense futile.

Xen seems to trust Ekiya with the fate of Earth and is willing to listen to her opinions. Ekiya can either convince the aliens to change their mind and leave Earth, destroy the aliens outright, or use her influence over Xen to make more radical changes to the world. The game has two love interests: Xen and Sarah, as well as four endings to experience.

You can purchase Save The World on sale from Steam for $7.19 and Itch.io for $7.99. After June 8th, the sale on Steam will end and the game will return to its original sales price, $7.99. If you plan to buy the game from Steam, don’t forget to download the free Uncensor Patch DLC.
