Doomsday Robot Girl, an RPG about surviving in a post-apocalypse with a robot companion by Banana King, is now available on DLsite.

Doomsday Robot Girl is a post-apocalyptic simulation RPG, taking place in a future where Earth has been devastated by a new world war. The constant conflict and careless use of nuclear weaponry has devastated most of the land. Humanity has been reduced to fraction of its former self, with the majority of the survivors becoming insane.

Our protagonist is one of the few remaining sane people wandering the wasteland. He’s a middle-aged soldier who joined the military just a year before the war broke out, and, to his surprise, still hasn’t died. We meet him when this is about to change, as he’s starving, dehydrated, and lost in the middle of a desert. He soon collapses, but awakens to find that someone has taken him to safety.

It’s a young, white-haired girl who introduces herself as Emma, or the military robot alpha number 10056. Hearing this gives the soldier a mild panic attack. Initially, he wants to leave her alone and die in peace, but Emma makes an interesting offer. She wants him to take her somewhere. In exchange, she offers to help with scavenging, producing items, and reliving his sexual needs. With no real reason to refuse, the soldier accepts her proposal.

Throughout the game, players have to scavenge various locations as recommended by Emma. The game uses a daytime system with four phases, forcing the player to return to Emma’s safe heaven within an abandoned mansion at the end of each day. Exploring locations allows players to find resources, as well as to interact with Emma. Being an AI, she has a limited understanding of human society and emotions, learning from the soldier as they travel together.

Scavenging locations comes at the risk of being attacked. Fights are turn-based, with the player being able to either attack or use items. Weapons are at risk of breaking after the fight, but Emma can craft more with the right resources. Players may also seek alternate solutions to encounters, such as offering raw meat to wild dogs to instantly end the fight.

Winning in combat grants items and experience, with new levels increasing the player’s stats. The player’s relationship with Emma can also level up. While at the safe house, players may interact with her, talking, holding hands or requesting sexual favors. These act will slowly increase her affection, unlocking new forms of intimacy.

Doomsday Robot Girl is now available on DLsite for the promotional price of $9.28 USD (estimated from ¥1,215) until April 20th, at which point it will cost $10.92 USD (estimated from ¥1,430). A demo of the game can be downloaded from the store page. The game has previously released on Steam, where it is currently available for $9.23 until March 30th, at which point it will cost $10.99.
