The Curse of Kubel+, an expansion to Yasagure Kitsuenjyo’s fantasy RPG, has been published by Kagura Games on Steam and their own storefront.

The Curse of Kubel+ is a DLC expansion to The Curse of Kubel, which adds voice acting for the RPG's heroine and additional scenes for one of the endings. The story of The Curse of Kubel takes place in an area that used to house the trade city of Kaldesta, until an earthquake swallowed it whole, splitting the land asunder.

The newly-created mysterious chasm has attracted many adventurers to explore its depths. Over time, it became apparent that those who ventured into the fallen lands became cursed. In response, the mage guild has sent one of its apprentices, Magetano, to investigate the issue.

Magetano is a talented magician accompanied by Cero, a trusted friend of many years and a skilled alchemist. In their investigation, they’re also joined by Bazria, a son of the destroyed trade city’s mayor and a womanizer. Throughout the game, players guide the party into the ruins under Kaldesta, defeating monsters, collecting useful items, and finding new clues as to the nature of the cures and the means to stop it.

As players progress through the story, Magetano has many opportunities to indulge in sexual activity with Bazria, to the dismay of the honest and smitten Cero. Depending upon the player’s actions, Magetano’s disposition may change, leading to different endings.

Unique to the game's expanded version is the inclusion of additional content following route C. The Curse of Kubel+ features 9 new CGs to discover, applies fixes to some existing images, and includes new scenes for Katrina and Magetano, as well as other minor features and quality-of-life improvements. Additionally, the heroine herself is now voiced by Chiyuri Yuki.

Located southwest of the royal capital of Asserya lies the Kaldestan Chasm, which was created after a widespread earthquake hit the continent a month ago. More recently, mysterious ruins were discovered inside. Seeking riches and glory, many adventurers have gathered to explore these newfound ruins. However, news of the resurgence of an ancient, deadly sickness called Kubel’s Disease has arrived at the royal Magicians’ Guild. Whenever Kubel’s Disease emerges, a forbidden book with the power to level an entire country appears. To retrieve and seal away the book, the beautiful mage Magetano departs for Kaldestan, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

The Curse of Kubel+ is now available on Steam and Kagura Games for the promotional price of $8.99 until March 24th, at which point it will cost $9.99. The Steam version of the game requires an adult patch found on the publisher’s website.

The DLC requires that you own the original Curse of Kubel version from Steam or Kagura Games, available for $14.99. While the expansion may work with versions of the game from other storefronts, it is not sold outside of Steam or Kagura Games at this time.
