Moaning Wood, Maron Maron’s board game RPG about correcting a bratty vampire while navigating through a forest, is now available on DLsite.

Moaning Wood is an RPG styled similarly to a board game, in which players take control of a monster hunter who’s caught a cheeky female vampire of ill repute. Your prey remains unimpressed, though, as she watches you stumble through the forest, constantly getting lost. As she finally reveals, most hunters can’t make it out of these woods, which is why she lures them there to begin with. Her plan involves letting the hunter bind her with magic on the promise of taking her to town to get their prize. Then, she watches them run out of magical energy while aimlessly walking in circles, inevitably setting her free: your growing despair will be her entertainment.

To defeat her, players will have to make their way out of the forest, which is represented by a tile board. The appearance of each tile corresponds to potential events that may occur once entered. Each turn, you can take one step onto an adjacent tile, triggering its effect. As you play the game, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the board, letting you better plan out your moves until you either leave the forest or run out of energy needed to keep the vampire constrained.

Some of the tile events might increase your libido. The map is also full of chests, which make the vampire herself more excited. Since she’s already bound, you can force yourself onto her whenever you have the vigor to do so. The way you treat the vampire will change the relationship between the two of you, ultimately determining the story's ending, with seven possible outcomes and 19 CGs to discover along the way.
