CrankyBiscuit, a development team of two people, is currently developing Horny Tales, a fantasy RPG that uses a bullet hell survival combat system.

Horny Tales blends the recent craze of bullet hell survival games with forefront storytelling, aiming to create a unique erotic RPG experience. The game’s protagonist is a young man living in a small village, whose land is plagued by monsters summoned by an evil sorceress. Inspired by the visions seen in his dreams, the protagonist decides to become a hero and one day defeat her, hopefully ending her reign of terror.

Searching for his first adventure, he finds out that the daughter of his neighbor still hasn’t returned from her errands in the forest. Worried that goblins could take advantage of her, the older man prompts the protagonist to go looking for her. This quest is featured in the game's latest demo, tasking the player to clear the forest level by defeating a boss.

Levels play out with the player being constantly attacked by swarms of oncoming enemies, which become stronger as time goes on. The protagonist attacks automatically, with the player’s task only being to avoid their attackers. Slain enemies leave behind gems that grant experience when picked up, and each level lets the player pick up a new power-up, increasing their firepower. In order to win, players have to level up faster than the difficulty ramps up, avoiding a sea of charging monsters all the while.

By helping out the kidnapped girl, the protagonist can receive an intimate reward from her in an animated scene after the level. Clearing the demo level also unlocks its endless survival version. Future versions of the game will include more quests and areas, with the developers hoping to make the game more open-world in nature, as well as to include a variety of mini-games as well.
