A college student starts a cafe with a death goddess in Cafe Stella and the Reaper’s Butterflies, a visual novel now available on Steam, Denpasoft, JAST USA, Fakku, and MangaGamer.
NekoNyanSoft has published another visual novel by YUZUSOFT, the creators of Riddle Joker and Sabbat of the Witch, titled Cafe Stella and the Reaper’s Butterflies. The story's protagonist is Takamine Kousei, a college student who lived a carefree school life right up until the day he died in a tragic accident. When he woke up next, Takamine noticed it was the morning of the day he died. This wasn't a dream, nor was it a sense of deja vu: he was forced to live the same day over again.
Overwhelmed by the fear of his situation, Takamine heads straight towards the place in which he died. Before the accident could take his life again, he encounters a death goddess accompanied by a cat. The goddess tells him that he hasn’t escaped his grim fate just yet, but if he wants to escape this cycle, he has to help her with work. Though Takamine agrees to help, he never expected this "work" to involve opening a café together with her. He may be avoiding the inevitable for now, but can Takamine truly escape death?
The visual novel features a cast of five different heroines for Takamine to pursue and end up with. You can choose from Shiki Natsume, a girl who has trouble expressing emotions that goes to the same college as Takamine; Sumizome Nozomi, Takamine’s cheerful and straightforward childhood friend; Hiuchidani Mei, Nozomi’s energetic school friend; Shioyama Suzune, the friendly, yet lazy patisserie girl that works at the café, or even the death goddess herself, Akizuki Kanna.
