Take care of a miniature woman lost in a big world in E-made+’s Little Life, a simulation game now available on DLsite.
Little Life is a caretaking simulator in which you live with a miniature woman, appropriately known only as Little. The protagonist stumbles upon the girl as she’s scavenging through trash at night. Seeing her as little else than a mere pet to be kept, he attempts to tame her, but the girl turns out to be rather intelligent. Giving into the stranger’s kindness, she agrees to follow him home, hoping to find safe refuge.
Not much is known about Little — at least, not at first. She made it into the human world through an accident and ended up here all alone. Fortunately, in about three week's time, someone will come by to take her back home. Until that time comes, she hopes you'll take care of her. Given her tiny stature in a large world, her fate lies completely in your hands.
The gameplay of Little Life is similar to many of its simulation genre. Every day, you can feed and clean Little, as well as tidy up the table she lives on and play with her. It’s up to you whether you treat her carefully or abuse her outright, with the game providing you various tools to do both.
As the days pass by, Little will slowly open up to you, revealing more facts about her being and backstory. Sometimes she might also fall in trouble with other small creatures roaming around the house, like spiders or rats, which you’ll have to protect her from, unless you wish to see a bestial end to the story. There are many endings to be found in Little Life, all of them dependent on the way you choose to treat Little.
Little Life is now available on DLsite for the promotional price of $9.78 (estimated from ¥1,122) until February 14th, at which point it will cost $11.51 (estimated from ¥1,320). A demo of the game is also available on the store page.
To make sure that the game installs and plays properly, you may have to configure your system to a Japanese locale. DLsite offers a handy guide on how to do so, which is available here.
