The Demon Lord is New in Town! is a fantasy management game with RPG elements, following an amnesic demon lord named Van. After being defeated, the dark lord attempted to save himself by possessing one of his attackers. He messed up, though, and ended up sealed in the body of a common man. Having lost his powers and memories, he took refuge in a town for adventures, with his faithful servant Aira helping him out. Needing a new way to support himself, Van becomes an adventurer working for the sleepy priestess Emma alongside dark elf magician Chocolat, all the while taking swordsmanship lessons from the noble fencer Liz. Only time will tell if he remains human, or reawakens to his true demonic self.

The game itself is a dating sim with management elements. As the player, you'll have to carefully decide how to spend your time each day, choosing between bonding with the heroines, practicing skills, or adventure by doing quests. Whether the party succeeds during quests will depend on how well they are prepared, with fights being completely automatic. As the player progresses through the game, you will build a relationship with the various heroines by increasing their intimacy, which leads to erotic encounters.

Moments before his defeat, the demon lord possesses the body of his attacker. However, in his haste, he botches the transition and finds himself trapped in the powerless body of a human. Now with no memory of his past and only the help of his companion, Aira, he must take refuge at the inn of a nearby adventurer’s town. It doesn’t take long for the two to find themselves penniless, leaving them no choice but to form a party with the dark elf, Chocolat, train with Liz, the daughter of the town’s lord, and aid the town’s priestess, Emma. As Van’s life in town continues, he begins to grow accustomed to a quiet life and his relationship with the girls begins to change.

The Demon Lord is New in Town! is now available on Steam and Kagura Games' storefront for $19.99, Denpasoft for $22.49, and FAKKU for its regular price of $24.99. Steam's sale price will come to an end on January 31st, and when the sale prices end, the game will return to its usual $24.99 on all storefronts.

Adult content for the Steam version of the game has to be installed separately using a free patch available on the publisher’s website.
