Karichaimashita: Koikari - Love For Hire is a comedy visual novel that follows the misadventures of Shinkai Yuki. The young man, who’s highly infatuated with his sister, one day hears from her that she won’t go to college unless he does so as well. Not wanting his sister to miss out on higher education, Yuki applies for the first part-time job he can get, so long it allows him to both study and work.

Unfortunately, he didn’t read much about what his job will entail, though the details of that quickly become apparent, as the next day a classmate approaches him asking that he pretends to be her boyfriend… for a pay, of course. Yuki has inadvertently signed himself up as a "friend for hire," and the girls around him begin asking him to fulfill key roles in all kinds of relationships, ranging from that of a secret lover, to simply being a younger brother.

"I want you to be my 'paramour.'"

"Okay, here's your friend fee."

"Why'd it turn out like this?"

Shinkai Yuki is a siscon.

Due to family circumstances, Yuki has only one belief: money will make his little sister happy.

And thus, he works part-time jobs late into the night.

His original plan was to start working full-time immediately after graduation, but one day, his little sister tells him that if he won't go to university, then she won't either.

But Yuki can't let her suffer like that.

Suddenly tasked with earning money for university tuition, Yuki signs up to be a "rental temp worker."
