Haru Amari leaves home for a fresh start in a new town in Sentimental Trickster, now available on Steam and Itch.io.

Sentimental Trickster was developed by Lovenuts and published with the aid of Y Press Games. In July 2019, we wrote an article about Y Press Games taking over the development for Sentimental Trickster due to the original developer, Justyna Pustelnik suffering from a serious illness. Even though the game had a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2016, Sentimental Trickster had to be delayed until she felt better. Y Press Games offered to help Pustelnik with the game’s development. The two agreed to cooperate with Pustelnik working fully on script writing. After two years, Sentimental Trickster has been completed.

The game follows Haru Amari, a young man who left home without telling his parents. Trying to leave his past behind, he just wants to attend classes, graduate, and become independent. Making friends would be nice, but Haru will need to overcome his own awkwardness and obstacles to get closer to others. You decide not only who Haru will end up with, but also his moral compass. There will be ethical questions and tough situations where you can decide to help or harm others. There are three love interests in the game currently, which includes Shinya Kanae, and Soichiro. A fourth one, Jin’s route, will be available for free in 2022 or sooner.

You can find Sentimental Trickster on Steam for the sale price of $12.74 and Itch.io for $14.99. After March 30, the sale on Steam will end and the price will increase back up to $14.99.
