Enhanced versions of the first two BloodRayne games, BloodRayne: Terminal Cut and BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut, have been announced for release on Steam and GOG.

BloodRayne is a series of third-person action games following the titular BloodRayne, the red-headed daughter of a vampire, with supernatural powers and a propensity for violence, who works for a secret government agency tasked with resolving supernatural threats. The first game, set during the interwar period, follows BloodRayne’s investigation into a man who’s been gathering occult artifacts with the goal of making Germany into the dominant world power. You can find out more about the game in our past review.

The series' developer, Terminal Reality, has returned to improve the games’ compatibility with modern systems. New re-releases have been announced, titled BloodRayne: Terminal Cut and BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut, which will support display resolutions of up to 4k, feature upscaled cinematics, compatibility with modern gamepads, improved rendering with up to 4x anti-aliasing, uncompressed textures, and improvements to graphical effects, such as water, fog, shadows, and reflections. Additionally, the games will also be localized in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, including full voice acting for the first game.

BloodRayne: Terminal Cut and BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut have been scheduled for release on the 20th of November. Owners of BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 on Steam and GOG will receive the enhanced editions of their games for free.

Enhanced and updated for modern systems by the game's original developers, this is the definitive edition of BloodRayne.

In the years between the World Wars, Agent BloodRayne works as a killing machine for The Brimstone Society – a top secret fraternity that hunts down and destroys supernatural threats. Two missions, five years apart, turn out to be connected by one man. For years, this man has been searching the world for powerful occult relics to bring about a new age of domination for the Third Reich. In this frenetic and bloody third-person shooter that unleashed the iconic red-headed femme fatale on the world, the dhampir Rayne faces horrific creatures, hordes of soldiers with an array of tools and firepower, and every Nazi officer that stands between her and the one she must stop.

• Features and enhancements of the Terminal Cut edition, created by the game’s original development team:

• Support for higher display resolutions (up to 4K / 3840x2160).

• Upscaled cinematic videos

• Support for modern gamepads (XInput)
