...the fuck?

Movie Games S.A. has released a playable prologue to their upcoming game, titled Lust from Beyond: Prologue.

In Lust from Beyond: Prologue you play as Christopher, a young man who recently joined the Cult of Ecstasy, which seeks a dimension of pure ecstasy and worships a lustful god. Christoper has a gift, which allows him to see the sought after land in his dreams. As the game starts, you will experience one of his visions, but soon after come back to the real world and participate in the cultist ceremonies.

The game plays as a horror adventure. You control Christopher from a first-person perspective. You move around without the ability to jump, and all actions are done by the use of the mouse. All items are first brought up to the inspection menu where you can rotate them as you decide whether to take them with you, while doors and containers are opened by holding and dragging the mouse. Throughout the short experience you will be given simple tasks, which will require solving basic exploration and logic puzzles.

Lust from Beyond: Prologue is erotic in its theme and visuals. The otherworldly locations inspired by the artworks of Giger and Beksiński contain a lot of body horror and allusions to sexual organs. Meanwhile, the cultists' mansion is a location dedicated to sex, which you can witness during gameplay.

You can play Lust from Beyond: Prologue on Steam for free. The game is a prelude to Lust from Beyond, which will is scheduled to release in the first quarter of the next year, and is set in the same universe as Lust for Darkness. The project originally began as a Kickstarter campaign, which met its initial goal in ten hours.
