Clean up for the next guy

A hand in the Darkness is currently crowdfunding a yaoi visual novel, My Burning Heart.

My Burning Heart is an upcoming visual novel set in the world of 1001 Nights. It is told from the perspective of Adnan, a slave who becomes part of a male harem. In spite of the Sultan's promises for a comfortable life within his retinue, Adnan seeks a way to free himself.

The novel is a Kickstarter project with a goal of $1694, which has already been exceeded at the time of this writing. The full project will feature between 60K to 75K words, two romantic gay routes, with good and bad endings, and 16 CGs in total. If various stretch goals are met, the project will include more endings, text translations, epilogue chapters, and perhaps even voice acting.

My Burning Heart is an erotic story set in a 1001 Nights world, currently on development.

Our protagonist, Adnan, gets sold as a slave and, instead of being sent to work in the fields, as he expected, he ends up in a Sultan's harem... Although they try to trick him with good words and promises of being well fed and no physical punishments, he decides to comply with the Sultan's orders... but only while he plans his escape from the palace.

Trigger warning for light dub-con, and also for non-con in one of the bad endings (which can be easily avoided)

My Burning Heart was originally a Yaoi Jam 2018 project, where it grew too large to be completed within the Jam’s timeframe; however, the studio has developed a demo during it, which is still available on Itch.io.

You can support the project on Kickstarter. A pledge of €10 or more will get you a copy of the game on release.
