Cherry Kiss Games Breathes Life into Wild Romance by Adding Much-Requested Adult Content

New publisher Cherry Kiss Games arrives on the scene with a re-release of Wild Romance, bringing it to us with the previously cut adult content.

Last year, a visual novel by the name of Wild Romance was released on Steam and Android by Zoo Corporation and Sticky Rice Games, respectively. Both versions had a myriad of content removed due to its adult nature. This was most notable on Steam, thanks to floods of forum posts begging for an adult patch.  A brand new publisher has stepped into the world of hentai games and has taken the project’s reigns. Now in the hands of Cherry Kiss Games, Wild Romance will get a proper adult release in the form of Wild Romance: Mofu Mofu Edition.

About the Game

Unhappy with his life in Tokyo, Kazuma returns to his hometown in the Japanese countryside where he reconnects with four female classmates. When the girls accidentally reveal that they are not mere humans but actually magical animal spirits in human form, a journey of discovery and constant flirtation begins.

Sumire is the fox and leader of the pack. She has a motherhood instinct and a deep desire for physical contact. Tsubaki is the cat and second in command. She knows what she wants and she’s determined to get it. Aoi is the dog and the youngest of the four. She’s obedient, full of energy and always wanting to please her male companion. The final girl, Nazuna is the tanuki or Japanese raccon. She’s smart with a seductively creative mind but also a bit of a troublemaker.

Follow the story of Kazuma as he learns the hidden secrets of his hometown and discovers the supernatural world. His adventures include mountain picnics, summer festivals, run-ins with the gods and skinny dipping in a Japanese natural hot spring.

In Japanese folklore, youkai are magical creatures or supernatural spirits and are often an element of fantasy fiction. Norn/Miel, the developer of the game, is a leading Japanese studio with several titles in this style.

Cherry Kiss has only been an official publisher since this past September. The company has acquired the rights to Wild Romance and are in the process of adding the missing content back to make it their very first release. The publisher has mentioned that if things continue to progress smoothly, they hope to have Wild Romance: Mofu Mofu Edition released by Christmas.

How smoothly are things going, then? Just the other day, the company received the final chunk of translated text. It’s now in the editing phase. Cherry Kiss also released a teaser video on PornHub and Twitter, showcasing part of a translated H-scene.

There hasn’t been anything stated regarding whether or not the mosaic censorship is going away, but we do know the plans for release. Cherry Kiss plans to have a free demo on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, with an in-app purchase offer for the full SFW version of Wild Romance and plans to put an adult version on the Amazon.APK store. The PC version will release on Steam at the same time.

One question immediately comes to mind: How will they get word of the adult patch out to those who’ve been clamoring for it? Thanks to Steam’s new guidelines on adult patches, even an official mention of its existence is a no-no. One thing is for sure, if we ever catch wind of an adult patch for any game, we promise to let you know.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the game’s progress. In the meantime, more information on Wild Romance: Mofu Mofu Edition and Cherry Kiss Games can be found on the company’s official website and Twitter.
