Happy Life’s newest RPG, Meltys Quest, has been released on Steam in English thanks to independent translator Remtiary.

Meltys is a lazy princess that has so far wasted her whole life fooling around. A disaster struck her home, however, as the kingdom was invaded by the Grolido Monster Empire. With her country in ruin and her sisters kidnapped, Meltys decides to fix everything on her own. This is the basic premise of Meltys Quest.

We’ve covered Meltys Questbefore , once the game’s English demo version showed up on DLsite. The project was originally made by Happy Life, a small Japanese studio, for an exclusive release in Japan; however, at some point, an independent translator by the name of Remtairy reached out to them and began helping with the game’s development, including its translation. The project was a collaboration of love and dedication to porn found between the team and Remtairy himself. Sachinama from Happy Life has written a public letter about the undertaking, which you can read on the Remtairy’s Patreon page.

Meltys Quest has appeared on Steam in English only three days after the game’s Japanese release. The game is an RPG made in RPG Maker MV. It features a good deal of dungeon crawling and adventuring, two main difficulty modes, and a third limited to new game plus. The game features over 50 CGs and over 20 costumes for the princess to wear. The full Steam description of the game goes as follows:

Meltys Quest is about the journey our protagonist, Princess Meltys takes to restore her kingdom. Meltys is a girl who has fooled around all her life, not giving a hoot about anything but herself. But one day the Grolido Monster Empire invades her country, destroys her home, and kidnaps her three sisters. With no castle and no one else to call for help, Meltys decides,

“Well, I’ll like somehow fix everything!”

Please warmly watch over Meltys and guide her on this light-hearted, sometimes comical, and sometimes serious, but always erotic, quest to rescue her family and restore her kingdom.

Controls Meltys Quest can be played using keyboard only, mouse plus keyboard, or XInput game controller. However, it is recommended that you have access to a keyboard during the scenes for the keyboard-only functions.

Note Meltys Quest is made with RPG Maker MV, which isn’t known to work well with older computers or laptops. Please make sure to test the game out first.
