Among constant reveals of new features, Idea Factory has announced a job system for their upcoming turn-based dungeon crawler, Mary Skelter: Nightmares.
Mary Skelter: Nightmares is an upcoming dungeon crawler from Idea Factory. The game is a first-person, turn-based dungeon crawler set in a living dungeon called The Jail. It features a cast of powerful girls inspired by fairy tales, such as Alice, the Red Riding Hood, and Cinderella. Each of them possess unique capabilities for fighting, as well as dungeon exploration.
Among its multitude of features, the game will also feature a job changing system. Each girl has her own unique stats that fit better into certain job categories, like fighters or magicians. Each category will contain multiple different jobs that grant access to unique equipment and skills, as well as change the girl’s attire.
The description of this system, as well as many others, can now be found on Mary Skelter’swebsite and is as follows:
The Blood Maidens have the power to change jobs. By doing so, not only will their attire change, but their equipment and skills will, too!
Each Blood Maiden has a set category of jobs to choose from, each with its corresponding attire. For example, Alice and Cinderella can choose jobs that fit their physical prowess, such as “Paladin” or “Destroyer,” under the Fighter category. Thumbelina is skilled with magic, so she can choose jobs under the Magician category, such as the offense-oriented “Blood Witch,” or the healing “Therapist.”
Some are able to choose special jobs like the “Item Meister,” whose skills lie in the use of items, the “Poet,” who uses music to support her party, and more – with over 20 in total to choose from! Choose your favorite jobs to form your very own Blood Team!
Mary Skelter: Nightmares will be available on the PS Vita on September 19th in North America and September 22nd in Europe. You can find more about pre-ordering the game over here.
