The animated ending to Marvelous Entertainment’s ecchi water shooter, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, teases a new Senran Kagura game, tentatively titled Senran Kagura 7.
As a short surprise for those that bought the newly released in Japan Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, it was revealed that the game’s short animated ending contains a teaser trailer for a new entry into the series, with the tentative title of Senran Kagura 7. Why the number seven when a lot of the games in the franchise avoided this sequel-naming convention? The answer is both simple and just a little bit complicated. If we count Senran Kagura: Shoujo-tachi no Shinei and Senran Kagura Burst as one game and if we ignore the existence of Senran Kagura: New Wave and its iterations, there are six Senran Kagura games that have been released on home consoles and handhelds, thus making the newest title the seventh.
The teaser itself reveals very little about the possible plot of Senran Kagura 7, but from its presentation and a few scenes setting what seems to be quite the serious tone, we can assume it’s going to be a new mainline title and not another spinoff game.
YouTube user Kenneth BR has posted the short animated ending with the teaser on his channel. The following video, of course, contains some spoilers to Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, but those with inquiring minds and hearts will surely want to see what the series has in store next. We have made a few screenshots from the video available as well.
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash has been released in Japan on March 16th, 2017, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Western and Asian releases of the game have also been planned.
