Idea Factory International has confirmed that Mary Skelter: Nightmares will not be censored for its North American and European release.
A few months back, Idea Factory International announced that they would be bringing the dungeon crawler RPG, Mary Skelter: Nightmares, to the West. Since then, there have been rumblings among prospective buyers about how certain scenes would be handled. Some of the scenes, most notably the ones in the “purification” minigames, have the player wiping blood off the girls’ jiggling bodies. You can even rub most of their clothing off, leaving them nearly naked.
Fortunately, DualShockers had an opportunity to sit down with Idea Factory International at GDC and ask them the most important question: How lewd will Mary Skelter: Nightmares be? To everyone’s delight, IFI assured them that those scenes would remain untouched.
During GDC 2017, DualShockers had the chance to meet with Idea Factory International and asked whether the entire game will be brought west, including the more risqué scenes. The publisher assured us that there will be no changes made and the full game will be localized.
This also includes the “lick” mechanic which may not be animated, but has the characters lick blood off each other in battle to refill their HP. This feature and more will be included in our full report coming soon.
Mary Skelter: Nightmares is due out in North America and Europe for the PlayStation Vita this summer. We eagerly await more details about the game and a specific release date. You can also visit the official website, but it’s currently lacking much information.
