Daddy is coming

New information for the next addition to Koei Tecmo’s Dead or Alive 5 has been revealed. Mai Shiranui from famed SNK series The King of Fighters will be released as DLC in September.

Dead or Alive 5 has seen a lot of crossovers in recent times. Koei Tecmo even announced the addition of Attack on Titan-themed items, which included a brand new, themed stage.

While that has hit the stores, we’re still waiting on their latest release – Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury and King of Fighters. An extremely popular gal, Mai will be making her way to Dead or Alive 5 this September and will be available as DLC.

Thanks to some recently released news by Japanese magazine Famitsu, we’ve got more to share about this upcoming bombshell. There have been various screenshots sent out, but most notably, we now have our first look at Mai’s move set. The video, released on the Dead or Alive channel, showcases all of Mai’s rather fiery combos.

Most importantly for fans, it looks as though Mai will play very similarly to her previous appearances. Mai’s staple series of moves are retained, most of which are instantly recognizable to King of Fighters veterans. Plus, it seems Koei Tecmo has kept one of her best features: those springy hanging breasts.

If you want to check out these moves for yourself, you can find the video just below:

Mai will be released in September for Dead or Alive 5, and will be available on all platforms. We don’t have any confirmation of a price just yet, but for reference, a single character purchase costs $5.99 currently. This doesn’t include any additional items, if available.
