Hreinn Games Unveils New Project Called Kingdom of Deception

Hreinn Games, creators of the rule 34 League of Legends game Noxian Nights, has unveiled a new project called Kingdom of Deception.

Hreinn Games, the developers behind the League of Legends parody game starring Riven, is back with a new game concept called Kingdom of Deception. Unlike Noxian NightsKoD will be a game focused more on strategy than direct combat. The player will recruit and control armies of monsters to capture settlements, villages, and cities with the end goal being total control of the kingdom establishing a new social structure or sacrificing your prisoners to monstrous servitude.

The developers have outlined the story and the main characters of Kingdom of Deception on their blog, but you can also read it right here and now.

After centuries of struggle between races, humans have established the fearsome Kingdom of Lundar. Fueled by ambition and hunger for glory, the human forces are on the verge of completely annihilating all territories controlled by creatures that have not become vassals. The last hope of fighting off the human armies, a vast monster horde, has been defeated, leaving Lundar as the master of all.

Their outside enemies defeated, the noble families and military factions of Lundar have quickly turned on each other in an internal struggle for power. In this vicious conflict, not even religious or family bonds will be spared.

And here we enter the story. Meet our protagonist, Sabia:

Sabia is the daughter of a noble house and a rising commander in the royal army. Determined and ambitious, she thinks she’s on her way to the top… but things are not as they appear. She’s made as many enemies as allies, both in her own family and in the army. Now that the war is over, there are some who believe that she might be better off removed.

Lynn is a young mage, eager to prove herself and show she is more capable than her older sister Sabia to lead the family, but to do so she will need to be completely ruthless and remove any obstacle….

Betrayed by her own sister and stranded in the deepest, darkest territories that hold the remnants of the orcs, Sabia seems to be taken out of the struggle for power. But though these orcs may have bottomless lusts and favor brute violence, they’re more than that. Sabia might be their slave now – but she is not going to stay that way.

As she claws back power for herself and plans her revenge, she starts to realize that there’s more to the monsters than she thought. Perhaps she didn’t understand the monster horde, the truth about the war, or the nature of her own family. She’ll have to make hard choices about what to sacrifice on her path to revenge… but one way or another, there will be a reckoning

Hreinn Games are of course still working diligently on Noxian Nights alongside Kingdom of Deception. As the developers promised, you can expect the next update for the former title before the end of the month.
