Review: Suck My Dick or Die!

Saying that earlier games lack a certain subtlety in translation would be an understatement. This visual novel, “Suck My Dick or Die!” from Liquid, practically screams its intention outright and almost bashes you over the head with it. While the game feels like it wears this name like a badge of honor, it doesn’t wholly reflect the actions that the player will utilize in the “T”. Not judging a book by its cover or title in this particular entry would be an accurate assessment; this game’s title and a brief description can only be partially covered and requires a deeper insight.

You take the identity of Prosper, a military commander who controls a whole band of soldiers. The game begins with a glimpse of their disreputable acts with an unfortunate woman they capture and does an excellent job showing both sides affected by this conflict. After this brief prologue, the game’s attention is focused on a character named Haresu. He works at the mansion where the military presence isn’t viewed as reassuring by any females who happen to be in the mansion.

The player is offered certain dialogue options that will allow him to join or disapprove of the depravity. The relative lack of clarity in knowing whether or not the options were significant was a hindrance. It would have helped to know, as trial and error are inefficient methods for progression. Nevertheless, these options offer only a small form of replay value and limited bonuses in terms of extra content. The game pays more attention to the overarching paths that dictate the stories, giving limited control to the player in deciding the characters’ actions.

Loving acts in my rape game?! Blasphemy!

It doesn’t waste any time making the intentions of these soldiers known, revealing the content that might be expected throughout the game. Make no mistake: rape scenes are what this game utilizes the most, although saying that it encompasses the entire game wouldn’t do it justice, as there still exists consensual exhibitions and more.

They intentionally lock Prosper’s character path after the prologue, practically forcing the player to utilize replayability. This might seem unfair to individual players, but this is done in order to let the player become familiar with the game’s setting and storyline. Despite previously stated restrictions, this did not ruin my experience playing the game.

You follow either the actions of Prosper or Haresu along the same storyline. New scenes may be similar in content, but not necessarily context, as they and character interactions may play out differently.

The game takes a break after the first scene to move at a slower pace; you then invest some time in building its world and defining the characters. This is done surprisingly well in a relatively short amount of time. The occasional scene is still available to satisfy the player before it kicks into high gear, which I won’t spoil. The story itself isn’t anything new or different, but I still have to applaud it for its proper characterization.

The overall writing can be very blunt at times, mainly contributed to misinterpreted translation errors that seem out of place and awkward. Sadly these are very common throughout the game, although it didn’t personally distract me.

The art style is hit or miss in particular aspects. The backgrounds aren’t bad in regards to quality, although they do lack variety and can be repetitive. There’s nothing exciting to show beyond the erotic scenes. Luckily, those scenes hit their mark, and the quality doesn’t disappoint.

A maid? Figures … that’s what you get for lack of servitude.

Now we come to one part that entertained me, which was the audio. Establishing a decent sound is one of the most vital parts of making an erotic scene perfect. It is the difference between a good game and a great game. The sound was superb and to the brink of perfection, from the sexy voices of the women to their many juicy sounds during the acts. If I have to give it one criticism, it will be that some sounds seemed to be used more than once, and the absence of an auto-play option was sorely missed here as well.

“Suck My Dick or Die!” passed this review test pretty well. The mediocre writing doesn’t take away from the overall experience, and great characters make this game a pleasure to play. The sex scenes are substantial and plentiful, showing a good degree of quality. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to watch forced scenarios combined with quality art, great characters, and a lot of endearing, juicy sounds.

This game covers more hardcore fetishes like rape and gangbang with a small degree of consensual vanilla sex.
