Taking the Internet from behind

This weekend, Sekai Project made several new announcements at their panels at Sakura-Con and Anime Boston.

During their panels at Anime Boston and Sakura-Con, Sekai Project announced several new titles, as well as a manga spin-off of Winged Cloud’s Sakura Spirit visual novel. For your pleasure, we have compiled some info, sample CGs, and trailers for all of the announcements below.

Maitetsu

Set in Hinomoto (日ノ本), a fictional version of Japan (日本), where for a long time railway travel served as the most important form of transport. Each locomotive was paired with a humanoid control module, so-called RailRoad, that aided the train operator. However, many rail lines had been discontinued due to the rising popularity of ‘aerocrafts’, a safe and convenient aerial mode of transport. As such, their accompanying railroads also went into a deep sleep.

Soutetsu had lost his entire family in a rail accident and was adopted into the Migita household, which runs a shochu brewery in the city of Ohitoyo. He returned to his hometown to save it from the potential water pollution that would occur if they accepted the proposal to build an aerocraft factory nearby. He woke up the railroad Hachiroku by accident and became her owner. For different purposes, they agreed to help find her lost locomotive, with the help of his stepsister Hibiki, the town’s mayor and local railway chief, Paulette and others.

Companion

“The Companion Star Project is a term from the distant past. With the planet’s population rate spiraling out of control and showing no sign of slowing down a small planet was painfully relocated to orbit around the Earth for pioneers to terraform and emigrate to. Those who stayed behind eventually lost control over the companion star after bloody wars and devastating plagues broke out.

Many years have passed and the companion star, now no longer in orbit, will soon bring about the inevitable destruction of Earth.

Those who know about Earth’s impending doom attempted to build shelters, but they did not want the surface world to descend into chaos, so they selfishly took their secret with them underground.

One man who knows about the end decides to live lavishly…and a girl who will turn his life upside down…their story begins when she steps underneath his umbrella.”

Still, I Miss Her

“Still, I Miss Her is a dramatic visual novel about boy who has to overcome the odds to save the love of his life.

The antagonist “Jin-Tae” has been seducing girls (include your lover) through the use of an illegal drug. But with help of a mysterious girl, Sin-Ah, you may be able to bring Jin-Tae to justice and get back your lost love.”

Sakura Spirit Manga

Featuring art by Suzunone Rena, this upcoming manga based off of Winged Cloud’s hit visual novel, Sakura Spirit will begin serialization in Dengeki Hime, and will feature a simultaneous release in the United States. More information on Sakura Spirit: The Manga to be delivered soon.

A Clockwork Ley-Line

Michiru is a new student at the private boarding school Academy Tenbinruri, which is located deep in the mountains and has a towering clock tower. On his first day, he was caught up in some trouble with another new student Kotarou and ended up breaking the expensive-looking statue at the school’s entrance. As compensation, the headmistress Fuhito assigned them to work for the school’s special investigation unit.

Having not received any other information except for a unhelpful map, they had a hard time finding the office room. As night approaches, the student council members ushered all the students to the dorms. They came upon a girl Ushio, who apathetically told them magic exists within the school and when the bells of the clock tower chime, the ‘night world’ will appear. They didn’t believe what she said until they saw it happen in front of their own eyes. Ushio was part of the unit they were looking for, whose job is to solve any magic-related problems which arise.

Just Deserts

Some mysterious creatures suddenly appeared and annihilated a military base camp in Quentine City. There’s no survivor who can tell what it is, but some say that it’s a group of dreadful aliens. You will play the protagonist (with your own name), which is one of the most skilled personnel gathered by military alliance to protect Aquarine City, Quentine’s neighboring city from the next wave of alien attack.

Fortunately, you are assigned to work with 5 lovely girls with different expertise, and you even need to share the same room with them! How lucky is that? This is your rare chance to get a lover, as you will go back to your original base with not even 1 girl to work with when your time here is over. You can do many activities with the girls to build a better relationship; give some gifts, swim together, have a date, and many more! Unfortunately, those aliens may attack anytime and disturb your happy romantic relationship. Moreover, you need to train your skill again despite being a skilled soldier, and you need to buy your weapons using your own money! Absurd, but that’s your destiny.
