Lick twice for service

Koei Tecmo has just released two trailers featuring their latest addition to Dead or Alive 5 – Naotora Ii. The trailers show off more of the character, including her various costumes and special moves.

At the end of February, we introduced you to the newest character to grace the world of Dead or Alive 5 – Naotora Ii. This new busty bombshell comes to us from the Samurai Warriors series, a long running hack n’ slash genre of games that were seen on both Sony and Microsoft’s consoles. As a spin-off of the highly regarded Dynasty Warriors, players would fend off large groups of enemies, taking control of the battlefield as they progressed. This obviously translates quite well to fighting game mechanics, with Naotora Ii being added to the roster just this week.

To sound off her arrival, Koei Tecmo has produced two new trailers featuring the acrobatic warrior. Each trailer shows off something a little different, giving players a great impression of how she will function – and if she’s even worth their time. The first trailer acts more as an overview of Naotora, providing insight into her fighting style in a showcase of her various moves and abilities. The second trailer takes a more hands-on approach, demonstrating her moveset with accompanying button prompts.

For those of you who haven’t already seen or heard about Naotora, her arrival on systems will be accompanied by a number of extra costumes. These costumes aren’t just for her either, with other members of the Dead or Alive 5 roster receiving the Samurai Warriors treatment. These outfits include some attire befitting of the Samurai Warriors brand, while others are on the much more playful side of the game. These costumes range from a rather cute animal print bikini, to a humble bath towel. You can check these out in this trailer:

The second trailer is aimed at those who already have their mind set on playing Naotora, but want a little more information first. The trailer acts as a teaching device, illustrating the ways you can pull off her moves. Accompanying the video are a series of subtitles, showing off the input combinations required to perform the attacks shown on screen. Naotora’s moveset involves a lot of acrobatic flurries, which look highly impressive when they connect, so it’s time to sit down and get practicing.

Naotora Ii will be available as DLC to anyone who currently owns Dead or Alive5 as of this writing. Naotora herself comes either alone or as part of a set, with the base character costing $5.99. Players who want to get both Naotora and her debut costume set can get all of this together for $11.99 or simply purchase each costume separately for $1.99. If you want to use Naotora with any existing costumes you may have, there is also a free download available to update her in-game model with any DLC you may have already purchased.
