If it's a hole, it's a goal.

In a recent livestream on the Japanese streaming service Niconico, new footage from both Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 and Dead or Alive 5 was showcased to viewers.

That’s right, it’s time for even more Dead or Alive news. On this day, we’ve got both Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 and Dead or Alive 5: Last Round to cover, so sit back and read on. In a livestream held yesterday, producer Yosuke Hayashi talked us through some of the new features and additions to both games. This included an in-depth look at the PS Vita version of the new Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, as well as a demonstration of the latest DLC character for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Naotora Ii.

Starting with Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, Hayashi demonstrated a number of features that we can expect from the Venus edition of the game. As fans will already know, the PS Vita version has been built with the Soft Engine Lite, a version of the primary engine that makes full use of the Vita’s capabilities. Most importantly, Venus will incorporate the touch screens present on the Vita, allowing players to interact directly with the girls.

In this extensive demo, Hayashi had a lot of fun controlling a “mysterious wind”, a humorous term for these interactions. By utilizing the touch screen, players will be able to use said wind to play with the girl’s fleshy bits, making them move as if by magic. They seem quite happy to let you do it too. Also, considering this is a “lite” version of the superior Soft Engine 2.0, it still looks very impressive for what it is. You likely won’t be disappointed. Check out the stream below!

Afterwards, Hayashi and his team took to Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, showing off the new Naotora Ii we discussed yesterday. While it certainly wasn’t as naughty, we still got a great look at what one could expect with this new character. The team wasted no time in showing her off, throwing her into battle with Kasumi. Kasumi herself was also a way to showcase the new DLC, as she was adorned in one of the new costumes themed after the Samurai Warriors series.

Naotora’s fighting style was certainly the key focus of the demonstration, which involved a lot of fast kicks and acrobatic feats of agility. Her special moves, in particular, look quite impressive, with an airborne flurry of spins, so she’s certainly going to take no prisoners. Of course, this wouldn’t be Dead or Alive without some fan service too, so the team made sure we got to ogle some of her racier outfits as well.

If you want to check out the stream of Naotora, you’ll find it just below. Nothing has been translated of course, as this was only streamed via Famitsu and Niconico yesterday, but you’ll, at least, get a feel for things. The Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 stream should definitely be your first port of call; considering what site you’re on, it’s safe to say you’ll be into it.
