...the fuck?

Ever Wish Your Waifu Could Talk Back?

Koichi Uchimura, a former researcher at Kyushu Institute of Technology recently launched a crowdfunding campaign via Makuake for the Ita-Supo—a waifu pillow that reacts to your touch. The pillow named Rina Makuraba, comes with sensors in the breast and crotch area. If you gently touch Rina’s breast she will respond with loving messages such as, “What if I start loving you even more than I already do?” If you grope Rina too hard she will become mad and exclaim things such as “Hey! That hurts!”. If you attempt to touch her down below she will tell you “Not there!”, but her affection meter will increase.

The Ita-Supo has a companion app for smartphones which allows for the download of expansion packs of more vocal phrases in the future. It currently has 100 base phrases and an additional 400 can be downloaded for free. The voice of Rina is provided by Amisa Sakuragi.

Currently the campaign has raised 2,274,000 yen (about US$18,710) of its 500,000 yen goal (about US$4,179), with 47 days yet to go. Each pillow equipped with sensors is selling for 20,000 yen (about US$167), though those who get in early can get their’s for 18,000 yen (about US$150). There are also additional covers options featuring Rina’s friends, Shion Kamitsuki and Shiho Natsuki.

If you are interested in one of these interesting new bed buddies, be sure to keep an eye on the funding campaign for details and news on a possible release date as well as any new options.
