Visual novel distributor Aquaplus has just announced studio Leaf’s newest game Utawarerumono: The False Mask, a sequel to the strategy RPG and visual novel Utawarerumono (Those who are Sung) first released in 2002 for the PC.
The first game in the series also received a fan translation by Mirror-Moon and Soylations in 2008 and has garnered a fair level of attention from eroge and strategy buffs alike.
Currently, we can only speculate if Utawarerumono: The False Mask will be the same kind of combination of visual novel and turn-based strategy as its predecessor.
The game is scheduled for a Japanese release on the 24th of September this year. This writer can’t wait for carrier to arrive once again!
